Skin Tightening FAQs

Skin Tightening Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during the treatment?

At Skin Revival, our aesthetic therapists will conduct an initial consultation to assess suitability of the treatment. Results depend on a number of factors eg. age, area to be treated, severity of skin laxity. Clients generally note improvement soon after treatment, while others witness results gradually.

Before treatment, a cold gel is usually applied to the area to be treated. The NIR head piece is massaged over the targeted area and the skin is heated up to the required temperature. The temperature in the treated area is maintained for 10-15 minutes.

How long does skin tightening treatment take?

A session of NIR Skin Tightening can take over 30 minutes but it largely depends on the size and location of the area to be treated.

How many sessions will I need for skin tightening?

This depends on the size and location of the area to be treated but at Skin Revival, we generally recommend a course of 6 treatments with a 3-4 week interval between treatments.

Is the Soprano NIR Skin Tightening Treatment safe?

Soprano NIR is a safe and effective treatment. Light pulses precisely heat their intended targets, causing little or no damage or discomfort.

Does the Soprano NIR Skin Tightening Treatment Hurt?

It is a virtually painless procedure and is often described as a warming sensation or a hot stone massage. Most people tolerate Soprano NIR treatment well.

What will my skin look like after a skin tightening treatment?

The skin generally appears a little red, post treatment. This usually subsides within 24 hours. Makeup can be used straight away and there is little or no downtime, meaning you can continue with your normal routine post treatment.

If skin redness is a concern, at Skin Revival we recommend an aftercare session under the unique Dermalux Phototherapy machine. This reduces redness rapidly and leaves skin feeling refreshed and smooth.
